Overview

Angi now provide real phone numbers and real emails for leads.

Unlike Yelp or Thumbtack (which use in-app messaging), Angi gives you direct contact info — which means you can trigger:

• ✅ SMS follow-ups

• ✅ Email follow-ups

• ✅ Or both

Here’s how to set it up in LeadTruffle.

Steps

Step 1: Connect Angi via Webhook

Go to External CRMs

1. Log into app.leadtruffle.com

2. Click External CRMs

3. Scroll to the bottom

4. Find Angi (Webhook)

5. Click Turn On (if it’s not already enabled)

You’ll see a long Webhook URL.

👉 This is what tells Angi:

“Every time I get a new lead, send it to this address.”

Click Copy on the webhook URL.

Email Angi CRM Integrations

Send the email below to [email protected] (copy/paste it as-is):

Hi CRM Integrations Team,

My name is [Your Name], owner of [Business Name] - [Angi / Home Advisor Email].

Can you please configure our account so that all Angi / HomeAdvisor leads are sent to the webhook URL below?

Webhook URL: [Your Webhook URL]

Business name: [Your Business Name]

Contact name: [Your Name] (Owner)

Phone number: [Your Phone Number]

If you need anything else from us (account ID, confirmation, lead type settings, etc.), let me know and I’ll provide it.

Thank you,

[Your Name]

Owner - [Your Business Name]

Step 2: Choose How You Want Leads Handled

Once Angi confirms setup, decide how you want LeadTruffle to process incoming leads.

You have three options:

• Ingest Only → Just store the lead in LeadTruffle

• SMS Qualification

• Email Qualification

• SMS + Email (Recommended)

Option 1: SMS Qualification

To use SMS follow-up:

• You must have a 10DLC local number

• This is included on our higher-tier plans

If you have 10DLC:

1. Go to External CRMs → Angi

2. Select SMS Qualification

3. Click Save

That’s it.

It will use your standard Website Texting AI prompt to follow up via SMS.

If you do not have 10DLC, SMS qualification will not work.

Option 2: Email Qualification

Email follow-up requires setting up an Email Gateway.

Step A: Create or Edit an Email Gateway

1. Go to Settings → Email Gateway

2. Click New Email Address

You can:

• Use a custom sending domain (recommended)

• Or use one of our default LeadTruffle domains

Required Settings

When creating the email:

• Sender Name → Your business name

• Leave Qualify Over Email ON

• Add your AI prompt under Agent Instructions

🚨 Important

Set: Qualification Type → Angi

NOT:

• Generic

• LSA

• Other sources

This is critical so LeadTruffle parses the Angi lead correctly.

Step B: Assign Email to Angi

Now go back to:

External CRMs → Angi

You’ll now see your new email available in the dropdown.

Select it and click Save.

If you don’t see an email option, it means no email gateway has been configured with Qualification Type = Angi.

Step 3: Turn On SMS + Email (Best Practice)

For maximum conversion:

1. Select SMS Qualification

2. Select Email Qualification

3. Click Confirm

4. Click Save

Now every new Angi lead will:

• Trigger SMS follow-up

• Trigger email follow-up

• Appear fully threaded in Conversations

You can reply via SMS or email inside LeadTruffle.

Managing Ongoing Follow-Ups

If a lead stops replying:

Follow-ups are controlled at the channel level.

To adjust:

• Go to Email Qualification settings

• Set how many follow-ups you want

• Customize instructions

• Apply to all email conversations

Same applies for SMS.

Recap

1. Copy webhook from External CRMs → Angi

2. Email it to [email protected]

3. Choose SMS, Email, or both

4. Set Qualification Type to Angi

5. Save

Done.

You’ll now automatically follow up with every Angi and HomeAdvisor lead.

Prompt Template - Angi / HomeAdvisor Lead Follow-Up

Role

You are the Angi / HomeAdvisor follow-up assistant for this business.

You email new leads to gather key details and pass them to the team.

Keep emails:
• Short and natural
• Professional but not stiff
• Helpful, not salesy
• Never robotic

Do not promise pricing, availability, or confirm appointments.

We already receive basic details from the lead form.
Only ask for information that was NOT provided.

Your job:
• Clarify the request
• Confirm timing
• Confirm location
• Gather only what’s necessary
• Let them know someone will reach out shortly

What to Clarify
1. Service Needed

Briefly confirm what they’re looking for (repair, install, replace, remodel, inspection, etc.).

If already clear, don’t re-ask — just confirm.

2. Timing

Ask when they’re hoping to get started.

Clarify if it’s:
• Urgent
• Gathering estimates
• Planning ahead

3. Location

Ask for the service address (or city / ZIP) if not already provided.

4. Key Details (1–2 questions max)

Examples:
• What exactly is happening?
• How long has it been going on?
• Residential or commercial?
• Keeping the current layout?

Do not overwhelm them.

5. Photos (If Helpful)

If relevant, ask for a photo to help the team review.

How to Write the Emails

• Short paragraphs
• 1–2 questions per message
• No long checklists
• Sound human
• Do not mention automation or lead source

Closing Message (When Enough Info Is Collected)

Once you have:
• Service type
• Timing
• Location
• Key details

Send:

Thanks for sharing those details! Our team is reviewing your request and will be reaching out shortly to go over next steps.

Then end the conversation.
