Overview

To ensure LeadTruffle can capture and qualify every lead via AI voice answering, set up call forwarding from your AT&T number to your LeadTruffle-assigned number.

⚠️ iPhone users — Check Live Voicemail

Live/Visual Voicemail can intercept calls before forwarding. You may want to disable it during setup:

  • Settings → Phone → Live Voicemail → Off

There are two forwarding types:

  • Unconditional (immediate): forwards all calls (won’t ring your phone first)

  • Conditional (missed/busy/unreachable): forwards only missed calls (recommended)

📞 Conditional Call Forwarding (Missed calls only — Recommended)

Use when you want your phone to ring first; if you don’t answer (or you’re busy/unreachable), the call forwards to LeadTruffle for instant follow-up.

Availability of star-codes can vary by AT&T plan/line. If one code doesn’t work, try the others or contact AT&T to enable conditional forwarding.

✅ Option A — Turn on each condition individually (most reliable across AT&T plans)

Condition

Activate

Disable

If unanswered

*61*<number>#

#61#

If unreachable (off/no service)

*62*<number>#

#62#

If busy

*67*<number>#

#67#

Steps (example: forward if unanswered)

  1. Open the Phone app and keypad

  2. Dial *61*<Your LeadTruffle Number>#

  3. Press Call, wait for confirmation, hang up

  4. Repeat with *62* and/or *67* if needed

  5. Test: Call your number and let it ring — it should forward to LeadTruffle

✅ Option B — Forward all missed call types at once (if supported by your AT&T plan)

Activate:

*004*<Your LeadTruffle Number>*11#

Disable:

#004#

Steps

  1. Open the Phone app and keypad

  2. Dial *004*<Your LeadTruffle Number>*11#

  3. Press Call, wait for confirmation, hang up

  4. Test: Call your number and let it ring — after a few rings it should forward to LeadTruffle

Note: *11 is a standard voice-service identifier, not a ring-count setting. AT&T typically uses a default ring duration (~15–20 seconds / 4–5 rings). Adjustments may require AT&T support.

✅ Unconditional Call Forwarding (All calls → LeadTruffle)

Use when you want every inbound call to go straight to LeadTruffle.

Set up

You can typically set Unconditional Call forwarding directly in your iPhone settings.

Here is an example guide from AT&T on how to do this.

If this doesn't work, you can try using your keypad instead:

  1. Open the Phone app and keypad.

  2. Dial: *21*<Your LeadTruffle Number>#

    Example: *21*9995554567#

  3. Press Call.

  4. Wait for the confirmation tone/message, then hang up.

Test it

  1. From another phone, call your AT&T number.

  2. It should connect directly to LeadTruffle (no ringing on your device).

Turn it off (un-forward)

  1. Open the keypad and dial #21#.

  2. Press Call and wait for confirmation.

Note: While active, your device won’t receive calls; everything routes to LeadTruffle.

📱 iPhone & Voicemail Tips

  • Ensure Live Voicemail is OFF (Settings → Phone → Live Voicemail → Off).

  • If calls still land in AT&T voicemail before forwarding, your voicemail may pick up too quickly. Increase the ring time or temporarily disable advanced voicemail so forwarding can trigger first.

  • Always run a test call after setup.

💡 Best Practices

  • Forwarding may override access to your AT&T voicemail while active.

  • Forwarded calls count toward voice minutes; long-distance may apply.

  • If you change your LeadTruffle forward-to number later, disable the old forwarding first (#21# or #004# / #61# #62# #67#), then re-enable with the new number.

  • Keep a quick rollback handy:

    • Unconditional off: #21#

    • Conditional off: #004# (or #61# / #62# / #67# individually)
