How to Use Human Takeover in LeadTruff

Pause AI conversations and take direct control to text with your leads in real time.

Overview

Human Takeover lets you jump into any conversation in LeadTruffle and personally message a lead — pausing the AI’s responses until you’re ready to turn it back on.

How It Works

  1. Go to Conversations

    • Navigate to the Conversations tab inside your LeadTruffle dashboard.

  2. Toggle Off AI Responses

    • At the top of the chat window, find the switch labeled “AI Response Active.”

    • Turn this off to switch the conversation into Manual Mode.

    • You can now reply to messages directly — your lead will receive your texts as normal.

  3. Resume AI When Ready

    • When you’re done, toggle AI Response Active back on to let the AI resume responding automatically.

Important Notes

  • Expert Plan Required: Human Takeover requires a 10DLC (10-digit local) phone number, available only on the Expert Plan.

  • Message Window: For compliance and deliverability, manual texting is only available for up to 90 days after the last customer interaction.
