To ensure LeadTruffle can answer your calls with AI voice answering, you’ll need to set up call forwarding from your Verizon number to your LeadTruffle-assigned number.

⚠️ Important: Before setting up call forwarding, please turn off Live Voicemail on your iPhone. This feature can interfere with missed call forwarding.

There are two types of forwarding you can configure directly from your Verizon phone.

✅ Immediate Call Forwarding (All calls go to LeadTruffle)

Use this when you want all calls to be immediately forwarded to LeadTruffle (not typical for missed call use cases).

  • Dial: *72 followed by your LeadTruffle number

    Example: *72-999-555-4567

  • Listen for confirmation beeps.

  • The call will automatically end once activated.

🛑 Note: Immediate forwarding reroutes all calls and is not recommended if you still want to receive calls and only catch missed ones via LeadTruffle.

📞 Conditional Call Forwarding (Missed calls only)

This is the ideal setup for LeadTruffle missed call text-back.

  • Dial: *71 followed by your LeadTruffle number

    Example: *71-999-555-4567

  • Wait for the beeps and the call to automatically end.

This tells Verizon to forward only unanswered or busy calls to LeadTruffle, allowing the platform to trigger its missed call AI follow-up.

📱 Verizon iPhone Users – Disable Live Voicemail

If you’re using an iPhone on Verizon, make sure to turn off the “Live Voicemail” feature. This Apple feature can interfere with forwarding to LeadTruffle.

To turn off Live Voicemail:

  1. Go to Settings > Phone > Live Voicemail

  2. Toggle it off

💡 Notes

  • Call forwarding with star codes may not work when outside Verizon’s coverage area.

  • You cannot forward to international numbers.

  • If you encounter issues, contact Verizon support directly.
